Technology-native advisory built on 15 years of operational work

Arataki was founded by David Yaffe after building and running procurement, supply chain, and operational functions at scale. We find the operational gap, quantify the opportunity, and stay embedded through implementation

David Yaffe

David brings 15+ years of operational experience across procurement, supply chain, startups, and Fortune 500 operations. He led performance improvement engagements at AlixPartners for major retailers, CPG companies, and PE-backed portcos. David holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business

Most organizations aren't getting full value from their procurement and supply chain functions because the data infrastructure and analytical capability haven't kept pace with the company's growth. Arataki is built to close that gap between strategy and execution

Why technology-native matters

Legacy advisory firms treat "Tech" as a separate workstream. We position it as the foundation. We work with the systems you have in place. Our goal is to build the foundation that turns your supply chain into a competitive advantage

AI-native & tech-stack agnostic. What changes is the speed to insight and the quality of the decisions that follow

What doesn't change

The senior practitioner on the engagement is the one doing the work. The analytical rigor, the accountability to outcomes, and the willingness to say what the data actually shows remains constant

The name

Why Arataki

Arataki comes from the Māori language of New Zealand and means "to guide," "to lead," or "to show the way." It's a name that reflects the role we play with our clients

The highest performing organizations know where they want to go. But the path forward to create an organization that stands the test of time isn't always obvious. Arataki works alongside leadership teams to clarify direction and drive through implementation

The name carries a personal connection as well. Time spent in New Zealand left a lasting impression: a sense of global openness, deep connection to nature, and cultural values around leadership, stewardship, and community. The idea of guiding others forward in a grounded, honest way is how operational advisory should work
